Considered the premier mastering studio in Canada, Lacquer Channel boasts an impressive roster of top-tier musicians including Broken Social Scene, Sarah Slean and Hayden. We were brought on to produce their 35th anniversary party during the North By Northeast (NXNE) music festival in Toronto, and tasked with using the occasion to promote the studio.
We came up with the concept for a short online video that focused on building the profile of Lacquer Channel’s cool young business partners and mastering engineers, Noah Mintz and Phil Demetro. The video was embedded in our social media press release that went out to media and industry.
With a great RSVP response from the invite, we packed the roof of the exclusive Spoke Club venue with the who’s-who of Canadian music, and ensured a great time had by all with an open bar, courtesy of the alcohol sponsors we brought on board.
Finally, the event-lifestyle video we shot during the party was provided to online media outlets for NXNE related content, allowing an online audience to get a tantalizing taste of this exclusive industry party.
